Description : Moving from Canada in 2010, Henk Van der Kolk, who is one of the founders of the successful Toronto International Film Festival, decided to explore the possibility of creating a film festival in Panama. It was not difficult for him to conclude that several of the elements for success were already present in the country: proximity to the important centers of film production, both in North America and in the South; a Panama City in the middle of a large part of the air traffic between the two Americas, and a government interested in developing the film industry.

Location : IFF Panama has four locations throughout Panama City: the Balboa Theater, the Anita Villalaz Theater, the Pacific Viewpoint in the Cinta Costera II and Cinépolis Multiplaza.
